I have been teaching at St. Paul School since the 1993-1994 year. In 2007, I became the 8th-grade homeroom teacher. My husband, Bill, and I have two children. My son attends Sacred Heart in Detroit and my daughter is at Franciscan University of Steubenville. We enjoy living on our small farm with our dog, Suzie. In our spare time, we like to bike and camp.
I received my teaching certificate and degree in English from Madonna University in 1990. My ongoing graduate studies have been through Central Michigan and Saginaw Valley.
In Theology, the students will be given opportunities to encounter Jesus through Scripture, the Mass, prayer time, and study. We will focus on the Old Testament in 6th grade, the New Testament in 7th grade, and in 8th grade, we will focus on Morality, Confirmation, and Church History. We will also continue to enforce the Christian values and virtues that will enable our students to make good choices in their lives.
My goal for literature and English is to encourage students to explore new literature and develop a more advanced style of writing. An emphasis is put on critical thinking and analysis of what is read.
"At St. Paul Catholic School, we strive for excellence in faith and academics. Our mission is to be a loving and forgiving community that receives Our Lord Jesus Christ and reflects His teachings. God is our focus and heaven our goal."
